Markendeya Maharishi wished Brahma to praise a utsav for the perumal.Brahma with the help of Vishwakarma architected the city and celebrated the utsav.Further Brahma meditated in this sthalam and as pleaded by Brahma , perumal is giving his gracious seva & blessings to his bakthas.
Aadhiseshan himself has digged the well, as instructed by Perumal and the well is still inside the temple called “Shesha Theertham”.
